I was admitted to the University Hospital as an emergency just before Xmas as the result of a heart attack. I given angioplasty and 2 stents were fitted and I am now recovering at home. I must say that the care I was given at the hospital was truly amazing. All consultants, doctors, nurses and all other staff were so expert, but also very caring! The NHS comes in for much criticism but in my experience I must say that this is totally unjustified. Considering the pressure the NHS works under and the cutbacks they have received, I must say the work that they do is absolutely outstanding. All I can say is that my life was saved and the care I received was of a very high standard!
